Nielsen, Gerda Johanna (1925 - 1958)


GREENWOOD--Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Hill Funeral Home for Gerda Johanna Nielsen, 33, who died of a heart attack Sunday, Sept. 7, 1958, at the Northern Colony training School at Chippewa Falls, where she had been living the past 16 years. The Rev. I. Tanner of Our Savior's Lutheran Church will officiate at the services and burial will be made in Greenwood Cemetery.


The body is reposing at the Hill Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon until time of services.


Miss Nielsen was born Aug. 14, 1925, near Hartford and came with her parents to a farm in the Greenwood area in 1939. The family still resides on the farm.


She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Nielsen four brothers, Mels O. Nielsen, and Louis Nielsen, both of Milwaukee Augie Nielsen and Henry Nielsen, both of Greenwood one sister, Mrs. Harold (Isabella) Mantey, Watertown, and 12 nieces and nephews.


One sister, Mrs. Tage (Petra) Nielsen preceded her in death.
