Weber, Anna (1885 - 1954)


GREENWOOD, CLARK COUNTY--Mrs. Anna Weber, 69, died of a heart ailment at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, 1954, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Leona Syth. She had been in poor health since Christmas.


The body will repose at the Schiller Funeral Home beginning Saturday. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday in St. Mary's Catholic Church. The Rev. Edward Hartung will officiate and burial will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery.


Born Anna Waseca Feb. 4, 1885, in Greenwood, Mrs. Weber was married to Louis Weber May 10, 1904, in Butternut. After he marriage they lived at Butternut for two years, then came to Greenwood and settled on a farm 3 miles west of here, until the death of her husband Sept. 12, 1945. She had made her home with her daughter since his death.


Surviving are four sons, Carl Weber, Greenwood John Weber, Rio Linda, Calif. and Victor and Bernard Weber, Milwaukee four daughters, Mrs. Leona Syth and Mrs. Charles (Mildred) Herrick, Greenwood Mrs. Tex (Adeline) Thompson, Butternut and Mrs. Leland (Celia) Curley, Milwaukee three brothers, Paul Waseca, residence unknown Frank and August Waseca, Spokane, Wash. and two sisters, Mrs. L. H. Shannon and Mrs. Ira Dixon, Spokane, Wash. 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.


Five children preceded her in death.
