Diedrich, Fred Gustav (1906 - 1990)


Fred Gustav Diedrich, 84, Continental Manor Nursing Home, Abbotsford, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 1990, at St. Joseph's Hospital Hospice Care Unit, Marshfield. Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 1, 1990, at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Colby. Rev. Mark G. Neumann officiated and burial was in Colby Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons and a neighbor.


Fred Gustav Diedrich was born May 11, 1906, in Stetsonville, to Gustav Carl and Amelia Diedrich. He received his education in Stetsonville schools. He was a mechanic and did body work and painting for H H Motor Company, Sebold Chevrolet in Abbotsford and Krepolean Motors in Colby. He also did construction and concrete work in the area. He married Lina Fischer May 20, 1927, in Neillsville. She preceded him in death Nov. 6, 1983. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and a former Constable in Colby.
Survivors include three sons, Norbert Diedrich, Colby Carl Diedrich, West Allis and Harold Diedrich, Tripoli two daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Doraine) Werlinger, West Allis and Joyce Molsch, Shawano 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.


He is preceded in death by his wife, his parents, one son, one grandson, two sisters, one half-brother, and one half-sister.


Rux Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
