Kapfer, Eunice E. (1909 - 1990)


Eunice E. Kapfer, 81, Neillsville, died Sunday, Aug. 26, 1990, at Neillsville Memorial Hospital, Neillsville. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 29, 1990, at 11 a.m. at United Methodist Church, Neillsville. Rev. Thomas LaChapelle officiated and burial was in the Neillsville City Cemetery. Family and friends served as pallbearers.


Eunice E. Waterman was born Jan. 11, 1909, in the town of Washburn, to Edward and Angie (nee Babcock) Waterman. She received her education in Neillsville. She married Elmer O. Kapfer Jan. 29, 1927, in Clark County. He preceded her in death Feb. 26, 1980. After her marriage, she and her husband farmed in the town of Levis and later in the Town of Washburn, until their retirement. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, AARP, and Washburn Homemakers.


Survivors include one son, Leon Kapfer, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.


She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sisters and one brother.


Gesche Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
