EDWARD ROSSOW


Edward Rossow, 68, Route 3, Greenwood, Town of Warner, Clark County, was stricken with an apparent heart attack Monday evening, Aug. 14, 1978 at his home and died around 8:55 p.m. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, 1978 at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, Greenwood. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. The Rev. David Wenger will officiate. Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, is in charge of arrangements, where the body will lie in state after 3 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 16.


Mr. Rossow was born on Nov. 8, 1909 in the Town of Beaver to Julius and Hilda Rossow. He received his education at the Maple Center School and graduated from the Greenwood High School in 1928. He married Lillian Kuester on Oct. 28, 1939 at Loyal. They farmed in the Town of Beaver until 1975, when he retired and began work for the U.S. Department of Agriculture as an official sampler. He served on the Maple Center School Board. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Greenwood and was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, Greenwood.


There will be a Masonic Service at 8 p.m. on Wednesday evening.


Surviving are his wife, Lillian two daughters, Mrs. Jack (Nancy) Weber, Round Lake Beach, Ill., Mrs. David (Peggy) Friske, Greenwood one son, Danny, round Lake Beach, Ill. one brother, Louie, Chippewa Falls one sister, Mrs. Floyd (Nelda) Ashley, Chippewa Falls and seven grandchildren.


He was predeceased by his parents and one brother.
