Hilliard, Arlene L. (1927 - 1990)


Arlene L. Hilliard, Route 4, Neillsville, died Friday, Jan. 12, 1990, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 15, 1990, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Neillsville. Rev. Richard F. Weber officiated. Burial was in Neillsville City Cemetery. Pallbearers were James Skroch, James Turczyn, Kendall Durham, Steve Pozega, Dennis Johanek, Chuck York. Honorary pallbearers were Dennis and Steve Pozega.


Arlene (Elsinger) Hilliard was born Feb. 13, 1927, in Mishicot to Carl and Stella (Johanek) Elsinger. She attended St. John's Lutheran School, and then entered Nursing School in Chicago, Ill. She returned to Neillsville and worked as a nurses aid at Neillsville Memorial Home for many years. She retired in 1977. She then did day care work in her home.


Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Stella Elsinger, Neillsville one son, Kevin S. Hilliard, Neillsville.


Preceding her in death were her father, one son, Kendall, and one sister, Joyce.


Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville, handled the arrangements.
