FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR PHILLIP KURZ, FRIDAY
 

Phillip Kurz, 71, of Loyal, died at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 1975 at the Marshfield Convalescent Center, where he had resided for four weeks.


Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal with the Rev. William Humlie officiating. Burial took place in the Lutheran Cemetery.


Philip Kurz was born Feb. 15, 1904 at East Hampton, Mass. He received his education in the Town of McMillan and Town of Sherman schools. He was married Jan. 19, 1961 to the former Clara Hinkelmann, who survives. He farmed all his life in the Town of Sherman until retiring in 1966 and moving to the city of Loyal.


He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal.


The Rinka Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.


In addition to his wife, he is survived by one brother, John, R., Spencer, and three sisters, Mrs. Julius (Anna) Ehlert, R. 2, Loyal, Mrs. Henry (Bertha) Schendel, Payson, Ariz., and Mrs. Harry (Frieda) Anderson, Chelsea, Wis.


Mrs. Verland Dux and Mrs. Erwin Dux sang What A Friend We Have in Jesus and Nearer My God To Thee , with Ronald Gluch as organist.


Pallbearers were Joe Bymers, Milton Reinheimer, William Rahm, Siegert Krasselt, Louis Pachal, and Roy Schroeder.
