JOHN C. BRUMBACK DIES AT MILWAUKEE BURN CENTER


John C. Brumback, 84, of route 1, Spencer, died on July 17, 1975, at St. Mary's Burn Center, Milwaukee, Wis. at 2:30 p.m. The funeral was held Monday, July 21, 1975 at 2:00 p.m. at the Rux Funeral Home, with Rev. Kenneth Dix officiating. Burial was made in the Evergreen Cemetery, Ft. Atkinson, Wis. on July 22, 1975 at 11:00 a.m. Rux Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.


Mr. Brumback was born on April 30, 1891 at Tonganoxie, Kan. He married the former Lena Denikas on Dec. 31, 1914 at Mason City, Iowa. She survives him. He attended schools in Iowa and also two years at Cornell University in Iowa. He farmed in northern Ill. and Wis. for 25 years. He belonged to the Colby Masons Lodge 204, Scottish Rite 32nd Degree.


Surviving besides his wife are one son, James G. Brumback, Fort Atkinson, Wis.; two daughters, Mrs. Clyde (Joyce) King, Peoria, Ill.; and Mrs. Jack (Bernesa) Becker, Berrington, Ill.; He has five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. His is also survived by a half sister, Mrs. Martha Pearson, San Diego, Calif.  One sister preceded him in death.


Pallbearers were Charles Hrdlicka, Charles Podbelsek, Rilay Neumann, Harold Christensen, Jack Pickett, Larry Jonas, and Gerald Neumann.
