Elliott, Warner P. (1871 - 1872)


Died, at Neillsville, Clark County, May 26, 1872, Warner P., son of R. C. and S.E. Elliott, aged 10 months and 8 days.


In this sad event a dark shadow has come over a happy home, and our tenderest sympathy for the bereaved parents is awakened. Yet who, that has not passed through the same dark valley, can truly realize the desolation of grief that possesses those chastened hearts But the love that so fondly cherishes the memory of that little life is in itself a prophecy that there is left something to love still. It is not the perishable casket that shall so soon lose its identity in the enfolding dust, but the imperturbable jewel which has now a brighter sitting in the Savior's crown.
