Borntreger, Jonas J. (1979 - 1981)


Jonas J. Borntreger, Jr., two-year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Jonas P. Borntreger, Route 2, Greenwood, Clark County, was killed in the family home in the Town of Mead at about 9 a.m., Wednesday, July 22, 1981, when a cabinet fell on him, causing injuries to the head.


According to the father, the boy and two other youngsters were playing in the house while other members of the family were working outside. They had apparently climbed up on the top of the bottom section and the top portion tipped forward and fell to the floor, striking the boy on the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene of massive head injuries.


The family was in charge of funeral arrangements.
