Hillert, Amelia (1894 - 1981)


Services for Mrs. Richard (Amelia) Hillert, Sr., 86, Route 2, Granton, Clark County, were held a Zion Lutheran Church, Granton, on Aug. 20 at 2 p.m. The Rev. Horst Augustin and the Rev. Dale Trimberger officiated, with burial in the church cemetery. Mr. Mark Steffens, Eau Claire, was the organist and soloist. Hymns by the congregation were I Know That My Redeemer Lives and Abide With Me.


Pallbearers were Irwin Sternitzky, Otto Sternitzky, Kip Schlinsog, Ronald Garbisch, Carl Worchel and Martin Hiller. Gilbertson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.


Amelia Trimberger was born Nov. 6, 1894, in the Town of Grant and received her education at Grant School. She was married to Richard Hiller on June 6, 1918, in Zion Lutheran Church, Granton. He survives. The couple observed their 63rd wedding anniversary in June.


She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Granton and Ladies Aid Society, serving in their offices and committees.


Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Theodore of Tomah and Richard, Jr. of Melrose Park, Ill. seven grandchildren and three brothers, Walter of Neillsville, Hugo of Granton and Victor of Albuquerque, N.M.


She was predeceased by a brother and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John (Emma Fravert) Trimberger.
