Roger Ambrose Djubenski, 74, Willard, Clark County, died Monday, Oct. 30, 1995, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 3, 1995, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Willard. Rev. Richard Dickman officiated. Burial was in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jim Snedic, Bill Snedic, Josh Plautz, Ron Wunderlin, Tommy Djubenski, and Tracy Djubenski.


Roger Ambrose Djubenski was born on Dec. 8, 1920, in Willard, to Michael and Catherine (nee Zaranski) Djubenski. He received his education in Willard area schools. He grew up on the family farm. He farmed until entering the U.S. Army in Sept. 1942. He served in Europe as a tailgunner in a bombardment squadron. Upon his separation from the Army, he went to work for Plautz Bros., in Greenwood. He married Mary Snedic-Plautz on July 26, 1952, in Willard. She survives. He retired from Plautz Bros. in the mid-1980's after more than 30 years as a heavy equipment operator. He then helped out on his children's farms until the time of his death. He was a member of Wallis-Hinker American Legion Post 238 in Greenwood, Knights of Columbus Council 49637, Holy Family Catholic Church, and K.S.K.J. Lodge 136.


Survivors include his wife one daughter, Mary Jo (Randy) Fox, Willard one son, Eugene (Sharon) Djubenski, Willard two step-sons, Michael (Gloria) Plautz and Patrick (Kay) Plautz, both of Minneapolis, Minn. six grandchildren, one brother, Andrew Djubenski, Greenwood and three sisters, Antonia Orth, Willard Rose Zalewski and Felicia LaFlex, both of Thorp.


He was preceded in death by his parents three brothers, John, Stanley and Michael and one sister, Mary Maslunkas.
Rink Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
