Krasselt, Siegert (1910 - 1983)


Funeral services for Siegert Krasselt, 72, of 305 S. LaSalle St., Spencer, were conducted by Rev. William Ruhbusch, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer, at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 13, 1983.

Mr. Krasselt died at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, on Sunday, April 10, 1983.

Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, with Carl Ihlefeld, Howard Schultz, Robert Brett, Ralph Pescinski, Marvin Schmoll and Leonard Thompson serving as pallbearers. Rux Funeral Home, Spencer, handled arrangements.

Siegert Krasselt was born to Ernest and Martha (nee Siegert) Krasselt on May 4, 1910, at Kankakee, Ill.

He was married to Eva Plat on Nov. 27, 1934, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer.

In 1914, he moved from Kankakee, Ill., with his family at the age of four, to Route 2, Spencer, Town of Sherman, Clark county. He continued to live in the Town of Sherman until retiring in 1979, when he moved to Spencer.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and served for a number of years on the Veefkind School Board.

Surviving him are his wife two daughters, Mrs. Wilmer (Patricia) Griepentrog of Route 2, Spencer and Miss Janice Krasselt of Spencer four grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Susie Anderegg of Loyal and Mrs. Emma Engstrom of Bloomfield, Iowa.

Preceding him in death were his parents one brother and two sisters.
