Luchterhand, Anna (1895 - 1983)

Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Luchterhand, 87, formerly of Loyal, Clark County, were conducted by Rev. Joseph R. Kraly, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal, at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 21, 1983.

Mrs. Luchterhand died on April 19, 1983, at Memorial Home, Neillsville.

Interment was in the Loyal Cemetery, with Garth Luchterhand, Lennie Kollmansberger, Erwin Dux, Verland Dux, Herbert Hinklemann and Leonard Noeldner serving as pallbearers. Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, was in charge of arrangements.

Anna Johnson was born on April 23, 1895, in the Town of Beaver. She received her education in the beaver Center School and graduated in 1912 from Loyal High School. She attended the state Teacher's College at Oshkosh.

Before her marriage, she taught at the Sunnyside School and Sunny Knoll School for six years.

On May 8, 1918, she and John Luchterhand were married at the Lutheran Parsonage in Loyal. They farmed in the Town of Loyal until 1951, when they moved to Loyal.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid.

Surviving her are two daughters, Mrs. Dennis (Vera) Oestreich of Marshfield and Mrs. James (Janet) Bradshaw of Merrillan three grandchildren one great-grandchild.

Preceding her in death were her husband, John, in 1965 her parents, Sever and Olive (nee Holcume) Johnson two sister and one brother.
