Jackson, Genevieve (1909 - 1983)


Genevieve Jackson, 74, of 406 W. Miller, Greenwood, Clark County, died Thursday morning, Oct. 13, 1983, at 11 a.m., at her home.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 15, 1983, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Greenwood. Rev. Samuel Kochel officiated and interment was in Greenwood Cemetery.

Genevieve Hansen was born to Harry and Christina (nee Johnson) Hansen on Aug. 3, 1909 in Minot, N.D. She received her education at Catawaba, Schools.

On Sept. 24, 1927, she was married to Robert Jackson at Catawaba. After their marriage, they lived in Catawaba and moved to Clark County in 1927, where they farmed. Since 1955, she had been living in the City of Greenwood.

She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church

Survivors include her husband three daughters, Mrs. Paul (Eula) Franz of Elk Mound, Wis., Mrs. Roger (Yvonne) Kirn of Willard and Mrs. Jerold (Marilynn) Auman of Willard one son, Wayne of Greenwood her mother, Mrs. Christina Hansen of Neillsville six sisters, Mrs. Pearl Prock of Neillsville Mrs. Robert (Carol) Mortenson of Neillsville, Mrs. John (Eleanor) Ford of Humbird, Mrs. Belle Mazola of Fairchild, Mrs. Dewey (Evelyn) Walker of Fairchild and Mrs. Ray (Lila) Dobbs of Gardner, Mont. three brothers, Leland Hansen of Neillsville, Everett Hansen of Neillsville and Melnard Hansen of Greenwood 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Preceding her in death were her father one brother and one sister.

Serving as pallbearers were grandsons, David, Brian and Andy Jackson and Jim and Bruce Kirn and Perry Franz. Rinka Funeral Home handled arrangements.
