Boe, Joseph R. (1907 - 1983)


Joseph R. Boe, 76, Route 2, Spencer, Marathon County, Town of Spencer, died on Tuesday morning, Nov. 22, 1983.

Funeral services for Mr. Boe were at Rux Funeral Home, Spencer, at 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 25, 1983. Officiating was Rev. Timothy A. Duesenberg. Interment was in the West Spencer Cemetery.

Joseph Boe was born to Henry and Randena (nee Erickson) boe on Nov. 21, 1907, in Greenwood, Clark County.

He and Leona Kuester were married on Oct. 24, 1935, at Neillsville. They farmed in the Greenwood area until 1851, when they moved to Route 2, Spencer and farmed until the present time. He was semi-retired.

Surviving him are his wife two sons, Gerald of Spencer and Ted of Spencer five daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Marcella) Rindfleisch of Spencer, Mrs. John (Betty) Nowak of Spencer, Peggy Moen of Marshfield, Mrs. Charles (Mae) Winters of Davis, Ill. and Mrs. Joe (Patty) Mater of Spencer 15 grandchildren four great-grandchildren two brothers, Amos of Greenwood and Theo of Glendale, Cal. and four sisters, Amanda Jorenby of Kennedy, NY, Hazel Thompson of Thorp, Julia Ormond of Kennedy, NY and Agnes Vamstad of Denver, Col.

Preceding him in death were his parents one grandson and five brothers.

Serving as pallbearers were Steve, Robert, Gary and Dean Rindfleisch, Joe Winters and Shane Boe. Rux Funeral Home, Spencer, handled arrangements.
