FRANK BRISKI


Frank Louis Briski, 81, Colby, Clark County, formerly of Greenwood, died Saturday, Dec. 30, 1995, at Colonial House Nursing Rehabilitation Center, Colby.


Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 1996, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Greenwood. Father Richard Dickman officiated. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery.


Pallbearers were Jeff Meyer, Terry Meyer, Donald Meyer, Joseph Meyer, Jaris Briski, Louis Briski, Kurt Rayhorn, and Justin Briski.


Frank Louis Briski was born on Nov. 6, 1914, in Chisholm, Minn., to Matt and Katherine (nee Zager) Briski.


He received his education in Greenwood area schools. He married Mildred Williams on Feb. 10, 1945, in Neillsville. She preceded him in death on April 23, 1966. He farmed in the Greenwood area until retiring in 1973. He then sold all but two acres of his farm on which he built a house. He resided there until entering the nursing home in 1986. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Croatian Fraternal Union.


Survivors include two daughters, Virginia (Larry) Meyer, Unity and Pat (Bruce) Rayhorn, Loyal two sons, Frank Jr. (Kris) Briski, Algoma and Tom Briski, Loyal 15 grandchildren four great-grandchildren four brothers, Albert Briski, Altoona John Briski, Withee and Robert and Ted Briski, both of Greenwood and six sisters, Julia Vivoda, Florida Catherine Gulczinski, Minneapolis, Minn. Delores Lendosky, Rose Malaszuk, Angeline Gulczinski, and Elizabeth Stimac, all of Greenwood.


He was preceded in death by his wife his parents two brothers, Matt and Tony one sister, Mary Malnar, and one granddaughter.
Rinka Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
