Kren, Harold (17 AUG 1918 - 7 AUG 2000)


Harold J. Kren, 81, Neillsville, died on Monday, Aug. 7, 2000, in the Special Care Unit of the Memorial Nursing Home, Neillsville. There will be no funeral service or visitation. He will be cremated and his ashes scattered at a later date.

Harold J. Kren was born on Aug. 17, 1918, in Milwaukee, to Frank and Emma (nee Karger) Kren. He attended the Carlyle School in Neillsville, served in World War II, and worked at various jobs in Neillsville.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Kren, Neillsville two daughters, Linda (Sam) West, Elkhorn, and Bobbie (Scot) Strohm, California grandchildren great grandchildren one brother, Ken (Lois) Kren, Neillsville three sisters, Anne Striebing, Marhsfield, Irene Sager, Oroville, Calif., and Elenore Raine, Neillsville, one sister-in-law, Marion Kren, Neillsville and nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen and one brother, Walther.

The Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville, assisted the family with arrangements.
