ANNA DENK

Anna J. Denk, 86, Greenwood, Clark County, died Friday, Jan. 12, 1996, at the Crystal River Nursing Rehabilitation Center, Waupaca.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 1996, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Greenwood. Father Joseph Follmar officiated. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Tom Denk, Jim Annen, Todd Barr, Bryan Brom, Mike Humke and Jeff Liebzeit.

Anna J. Lindner was born on Dec. 12, 1909, in Millston, to Math and Anna Maria (nee Schober) Lindner. She received her education in Greenwood country schools.

She married Gerald J. Denk on Nov. 14, 1936, in Greenwood. They farmed south of Greenwood until retiring in 1974. They then moved into Greenwood. Her husband died on Feb. 8, 1982. She resided at the Black River Apartments from 1983 until entering the nursing home in 1995. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and St. Ann's Society.

Survivors include five daughters, Caroline (Tom) Annen, Crystal Lake, Ill. Corrine (Eldon) Liebzeit, Waupaca Mildred (Den) Humke, Marshfield Janice (Bob) Brom, Willard and Alice (Tom) Karavakis, Waupaca two sons, Romaine Denk, Franklin and Gerald (Mary) Denk, Crystal Lake, Ill. 25 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband one son, Allen Denk one daughter, Rosemary Barr her parents six brothers and three sisters.
Rinka Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
