Doris May Auman, 70, formerly of Willard, Clark County, died Thursday, Aug. 8, 1996, at Memorial Nursing Home, Neillsville.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 12, 1996, at Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood. Rev. Larry Olson officiated. Burial was in Willard National Cemetery. Grandchildren were pallbearers.


Doris May Orsburn was born on Aug. 26, 1925, in Hurley, to Bud and Ruth (nee Thomas) Orsburn. She received her education at the Kippenhan School in the Town of Mead.


She married Felix Auman on March 5, 1941, in Neillsville. They farmed near Greenwood until retiring in 1962. They then owned and operated Auman's Resort at Rock Dam until 1969. Her husband died on Nov. 1, 1977. In Aug. 1978, she went to work at Memorial Nursing Home in Neillsville until retiring in Sept. 1991. She entered the nursing home in Sept. 1992.


Survivors include two daughters, Donna (Richard) Abel, Willard and Sharon (Gene) Djubenski, Willard one son, Larry (Donna Fitzmaurice) Auman, Willard six grandchildren one brother, Bernard (Pearl) Orsburn, Owen and one sister, Eva (Eugene) Bombach, Aurora, Ill.


She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.


Rinka Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
