Bayuk, Frank M. (24 FEB 1923 - 4 APR 2002)


WILLARD - Frank Matt Bayuk, son of John and Balbina Bayuk, born Feb. 24, 1923, in Willard, died Thursday, April 4, 2002, at his home in Greenwood, following a lengthy battle with a blood disorder. Frank spent 79 years in the central Wisconsin area working a number of jobs over the years with a lengthy tenure of 30 plus years as a cheesemaker at the former "Stewart's Redville Dairy." This was followed by 17 years of service to the Greenwood School District performing as a bus driver and in maintenance support.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 8, 2002, at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Willard. The celebrant is Father Joseph Follmar. Music will be provided by the Holy Family Adult Choir. Interment will be in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville and from 10 a.m. to service time Monday at the church in Willard. Casket bearers are Denis Carteron, Hugh Christie, Ronny Ormond, Wally Ormond, Bob Petkovsek and Roger Schwartz.

He is survived by his wife, Beatrice his daughter, Beverly (Rodney) Lautenbach of Muskego his son, Franklin (Teresa) Bayuk five grandchildren his brother, Edward (Josephine) Bayuk of Willard and two sisters, Florence Bayuk Klinke of Greenwood and Mary Catherine 'Mayme" Bayuk Cesnik of Waunakee.

He was preceded in death by his parents four sisters, Genevieve, Gertrude, Dorothy and Veronica and three brothers, Joseph, Albert and William.
