Agnes Aumann, 97, formerly of Loyal, Clark County, died on Thursday, May 30, 1996, at Memorial Nursing Home, Neillsville.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 3, 1996, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal. Father Roman Kaiser officiated. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Neillsville. Grandsons were pallbearers.


Agnes Langreck was born on Dec. 31, 1898, in St. Lucas, Iowa, to John and Mary (nee Meiner) Langreck. As a young girl, she moved with her parents from Iowa to Neillsville.


She received her education in Neillsville schools. She married Henry Aumann Sr. on Feb. 6, 1923. They farmed north of Neillsville until 1945. They then moved to a farm north of Loyal and farmed until retiring in 1958, at which time they moved into Loyal. She lived in Loyal until entering the nursing hoem in Jan. 1992. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and St. Anthony's Altar Society.


Survivors include four sons, Louis (Rosie) Aumann, Butler Clarence (Doris) Aumann, Spencer Irban (Leona) Aumann, Loyal and Henry Jr. (Lois) Aumann, Loyal four daughters, Clara Ampe, Loyal Jeanette (Art) Petkovsek, Greenwood Caroline (Raymond J.) Miller, Loyal Doreen (Pat) Mrotek, Cadott 27 grandchildren 42 great-grandchildren one great-great-grandchild and one sister, Rose Noll, Neillsville.


She was preceded in death by her husband, on Dec. 29, 1986 one son, Leon, in infancy one grandson, Michael Aumann six brothers a twin sister, Theresa and a son-in-law, Paul Ampe.


Rinka Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
