Julie Ann Ryona, 43, Owen, Clark County, died Monday, Nov. 4, 1996, at the Clark County Health Care Center, Owen. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7, 1996, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Owen. Rev. Al Jakubowski will officiate. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Withee. Pallbearers will be Allen Hinker, Roger Hargot, Don Esselman, Bob Durbin, Bill Winslow and Marvin Paczkowski.


Visitation will be at the Maurina Funeral Home in Owen on Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 4-9 p.m. The Holy Rosary Parish Council of Catholic Women will have a rosary service at 4:30 p.m. and there will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.


Julie Fillipp was born on Sept. 26, 1953, in Stanley, to Orville and Gladys (nee Murray) Fillipp. She was a 1971 graduate of Owen-Withee High School. She married Martin Ryona Jr. on Jan. 31, 1981, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Owen. They owned and operated the Ryona Body Shop in Withee until his death on May 14, 1996. She enjoyed bowling, horseshoes and drag racing.


Survivors include one son, Lance Ryona, Eau Claire two sisters, Norene (Bob) Durbin, Withee and Sandra (Allen) Hinker, Greenwood her mother-in-law, Josephine Ryona, Withee many nieces and nephews and many friends.


She was preceded in death by her husband her parents and one brother, Lynn Fillipp.


Maurina Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
