      Paul T. Bober, 71, town of Dewhurst, Clark County., formerly
      of Chicago, died on Saturday, April 27, 2002, at the
      Family Heritage Health Care Center, Black River
      Falls. A prayer service was held on Wednesday, May
      1, at the Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville. The Rev.
      Woodrow C. Pace of St. Mary's Catholic Church,
      Neillsville, officiated. A memorial service will be
      held in River Forest, Ill., at a later date. Burial will be
      in River Forest, Ill.

      Paul Thomas Bober was born on Nov. 12, 1930,
      in Chicago, to Paul Thomas and Kathryn (nee
      Nelson) Bober. He attended the Mulligan and Lane
      Tech High School in Chicago and then began driving
      semi-truck for several different companies. He mar-ried
      Janet Kennedy on Nov. 26, 1949, in Chicago.
      They eventually went into business for themselves,
      operating their own trucking business. Along with
      driving truck, he also owned two taverns in the
      Chicago area. He retired at the age of 60 and moved
      to the Neillsville area. He was a member of the
      Moose Club, the Sportsman's Club, the Teamsters
      CTD Union and a lifetime member of the National
      Rifle Association. His interests included fishing,
      hunting and his dogs.

      Survivors include his wife, Janet three children,
      Linda (Stan) Baran, Schiller Park, Ill., Thomas
      (Sheila) Bober, Romeoville, Ill., and Carolynn Arndt,
      Schiller Park, Ill. five grandchildren, Lisa, Amanda,
      Danielle, David and Ashley one sister, Marilyn
      Carter, Chicago and nieces, nephews and friends.

      Preceding him in death were a son, Michael, and
      his parents.

      The Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville, assisted
      the family with arrangements.
