Harriman, Mary Brown (1810 - 14 MAY 1897)


Mary Brown Harriman died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. D. Edgbert, in this city (Neillsville, Clark County), Friday night, May 14, 1897, of old age.

Mrs. Harriman was born in Clinton, Maine in 1810, and was married to James Harriman in 1832. In 1871 they came to this city to reside. Eight children blessed this union, seven of whom are now living. They are: Warren Harriman and Mrs. Elizabeth Spencer, of Necedah Albert Harriman and Mrs. Mary Edgbert, of this city Mrs. Julia Curry of Canada Mrs. St. John of Brookins, Dakota Mrs. Sarah Summerside, of Herried, Dakota. She also leaves two brothers and a sister who reside in the east.

Mrs. Harriman was a faithful and sincere believer in religion, having been a member of the M.E. Church organization for over 67 years.
