MARGARET E. SCHWARZE (1914 - 1994)


Margaret E. Schwarze, 80, died Wednesday, Aug. 24, 1994, at the Hospice Care Center, Marshfield. She had been admitted to St. Joseph's Hospital on Aug. 23. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 27, 1994, at Immanuel United Church of Christ, Greenwood. Rev. John Tschudy officiated. Pallbearers were Steven, Jeffrey and Richard Schwarze, Nicholas Peppas, Chester Nirva and Thomas Olson.


Margaret E. Heller was born on Feb. 16, 1914, in Stratford, to Henry and Louise (nee Hoesly) Heller. She received her education in Stratford. On June 12, 1935, she married Walter J. H. Schwarze at Ebenezer United Church of Christ, Stratford. After their marriage, they farmed west of Greenwood until their retirement on Dec. 31, 1973. She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ and its Women's Guild, Adult Fellowship and was organist for many years, and she also taught Sunday school. She was also a member of Greenwood Senior Citizens Club.


Survivors include two sons, Orville (Wanda) Schwarze, Spencer and Roger (Karen) Schwarze, Greenwood five sisters, Mabel Schuster, and Marion (Arnold) Spindler, both of Stratford Armella (Calvin) Gordee, Marshfield Hazel (Mark) Graveen, Antigo and Irene Galbraith, Standish, Mich. two brothers, Gilbert (Adelaide) Heller, Bay City, Mich. and Melvin Heller, Tiskilwa, Ill. six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband her parents two brothers, Anton H. and William O. Heller and a daughter, Janet.
Rinka Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
