Obit: Pabich, Ignatz (1847 - 1927) Surnames: PABICH SINGER BONKOWSKI ----Source: THORP COURIER (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) 04/28/1927 Pabich, Ignatz (31 Jul 1847 - 22 Apr 1927) Mr. Ignatz Pabich of this village (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.), aged 79 years, 8 months and 22 days, passed into peaceful rest at St. Joseph's Hospital at Chippewa Falls on Friday, April 22, 1927. Mr. Pabich was taken ill several weeks ago and was taken to the hospital for treatment and succumbed to the inevitable after a minor operation for rupture. Deceased came to America fifty-one years ago, residing at Beaver Dam, Wis. for many years and twelve years ago came to Thorp, which has since been his home. Local undertaker John G. Bogumill, brought the remains to his home here on Saturday morning last and funeral services were held at St. Hedwig's Church at nine o'clock and the body was shipped to Beaver Dam at noon for burial, accompanied by the family. Deceased leaves to mourn, his aged wife, four sons, George of Thorp, Peter and Frank of Milwaukee, and Joseph of Beaver Dam, and two daughters, Sophie and Hattie of Thorp. (Follow on in 5/5/1927 Thorp Courier) April 21, at 4:15 p.m., Ignatz Pabich passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother. The deceased was born in Poland in 1847; came to this country 52 years ago, and lived at Beaver Dam 42 years and the last 10 years at Thorp. The services were held Saturday, April 23, in Thorp at St. Hedwig's Church, Rev. Kulig and Rev. Szymczak officiating. The pallbearers were P. Sapa, F. Anyzewski, A. Moszkiewicz, J. Bogumill, F. Koscielski and A. Wegner. From there the remain were taken to Beaver Dam to the home of his son Joseph, where he remained until Monday. Then funeral services were held at St. Michael's Church, Rev. Brzonkata officiating. The remains were carried by his six sons to the grave in St. Michael's Cemetery. The deceased leaves to mourn, his beloved wife, Mary, six sons, Joseph and John of Beaver Dam; George, Peter and Mike of Thorp, and Frank of Stanley; four daughters, Mrs. K. Bonkowski of Beaver Dam; Mrs. R. Singer of Milwaukee, Sophie and Harriet of Thorp, and sixteen grandchildren, and one sister of Plover. Our of town relatives that attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Nitkowski, Mr. and Mrs. Murawski and daughter Margaret, of Oshkosh, Mr. and Mrs. Nowakowski and son John, Mr. and Mrs. Jerzochowski and daughter Irene, and Mrs. Emily Singer, of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. J. O'Connor of Horicon, Mrs. J. Pestki and daughter Kate, of Plover, and Mrs. F. Pestki of Amherst. |
