Brooks, Bartimous (1786 - 1875)

Bartimous Brooks died at his residence in the town of Lynn, Clark County July 2nd, 1875, in the eighty-ninth years of his age. Mr. Brooks was a native of Vermont, from which state he moved to New York after a residence in this state a few years, he settled in Lorain County, Ohio. In 1859 he came to Clark County, where he has since resided. Mr. B. was a soldier of 1812, and was engaged in the battles of Lake Champlain and Lundy's Lane. The funeral will be held at the Sternitzky school house Sunday the 4th inst., at 11 o'clock a.m., B. E. Wheeler officiating.
