ELIZABETH JORDAN (1910 - 1995)


Elizabeth Alice Jordan, 84, Willard, Clark County, died Thursday, Feb. 2, 1995, at Neillsville Memorial Medical Center.


Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4, 1994, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Willard. Father Steve Baures and Monsignor Matthew Malnar officiated. Burial was in the Holy Family Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons, Bruce Schmidt, Brian Schmidt, Kenny Kadlec, Eddie Kadlec and Dave Jordan, and grandson-in-law Larry Johnson.


Elizabeth Alice Scharenbrock was born on Nov. 2, 1910, in Sheboygan, to John and Julia (nee Adolph) Scharenbrock.


She received her education at Willard Grade School. As a small girl, her family moved from Sheboygan to Greenwood and then to Willard, where her parents farmed. After school she worked in Chicago as a housekeeper. She married Ludwig Jordan on June 29, 1931, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Willard. They farmed in the Town of Mead for seven years and then moved to the Town of Hendren and farmed until retiring in 1983. Her husband preceded her in death on June 25, 1992. She continued to live on the farm until Oct. 1994, and then lived with her daughter. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and PCCW.


Survivors include two daughters, Lorraine (Joe) Kadlec, St. Paul, Minn. and Betty Schmidt, Loyal two sons, Rudy (Virginia) Jordan, Grand Rapids, Minn. and Bill (Sandra) Jordan, Kendall 27 grandchildren 43 great-grandchildren, three sisters, Marcella Glass, Neillsville Alice Kurth, Neillsville and Julia Trybula, Willard and many nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers, two sisters, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.


Rinka Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
