Beard, Hayward, Horne, Longworth
BEARD, HAYWARD, HORNE, LONGWORTH I am trying to find family members in WI. My father was Gaylord LaMont BEARD, born to Jessie Sarah (LONGWORTH) and George BEARD. Dad had one brother, Hayward Wilson BEARD. My greatgrandmother was Sarah (HAYWARD) LONGWORTH. My gggrandmother was Susanna (maiden name unknown) HAYWARD, she married Jerome HAYWARD. He was in the Civil War and died there of a disease, from what I have been told. Susanna then married a Robert HORNE. The children that I have for Susanna & Robert are: Charlie Lewis, Cora Isabelle, Frank Gilbert, Henry Harvey, Ida Susan, Ira Robert, Myrtle Florence Willie Robert. I am curious about something too. I know there is a Hayward, WI. If anyone knows how it got its name I would be interested being as a distant relative is a Hayward. I don't know anything about my grandfather, George BEARD. He was born in IL aboout 1875, died in or around Oshkosh, September 28, 1927. My grandmother lived in Oshkosh too and ran a boarding house on High St. She died in July, 1967. I was just looking through the book from her funeral and I found these names in there: Mrs. Carrie LONGWORTH, Mr. & Mrs. Homer LONGWORTH, Mr. & Mrs. Chester LONGWORTH, Flora HORNE. I also have a couple of letters from Irene & Kenneth HORNE from Lubbock, TX in 1977. I am giving as many names as I can so hopefully someone will know of these people. |
