Botterud Family of Clark Co., WI
Surnames: BAUMANN BOTTERUD JOHNSON HAGEN LOKKEN POTTERUD On the early maps of Clark Co., WI, you will find the brothers Gunder and Even Johnson Botterud's lots on Northern part, near Curtiss, WI. I have no clue to decendants from them but am interested in knowing. I have found their third brother John (Johan) Johnson Botterud's decendants. They actually used Potterud as name. Three siblings decended, Berta Gunda (Potterud) Hagen of Hale, Trempeleau, WI, Marie Johanne (Potterud) Baumann of Carlton Co. MN and Marshall Potterud who died in Milwaukee, WI. Two of them became a bit of fame: Marie married Julius Baumann who was a poet as described here http://www.naha.stolaf.edu/publications/volume15/vol15_7.htm Marshall Potterud became founder of a comapny called MJ electric in Iron Mountain, MN. I have been in touch with their successor. When it comes to the posting of Pearl Lokken, the obit is not quite true according to records I have from sister Beatrice Thorson, but again the obit is not always supposed to be.
