Dear friend your card at hand some time ago - and now a we have had a good rain I'll try and write a word. We were badly in need of rain during the heavy shower this morning lightening struck the school house slivered it up some $100.00 damage so I heard and we find this eve that our electric lights in our house are burned out too. Cynthia & Forrest are attending the institute in Neillsville. They have been in LaCrosse the most of the summer with Mrs. Withee. Yours, Mrs. C. A. Varney.
