W. E. Poate & Company Hardware

This illustration shows the hardware store of W. E. Poate & Company, and the residence of Mr. Poate, which are located at Maple Works.
This firm has been in business here less than two years.
They have built up a satisfactory trade and carry a good line of heavy and shelf hardware, and are selling a large amount of farm machinery of all kinds.
Mr. Poate was formerly a tinner at Neillsville.
While there he was Captain of Co. A., 3rd Regt., W. N. G.
 He with his partner commenced business at Maple Works in 1888.
