Granton Area High School student Jennifer Ritzert was among those recognized by the Herb Kohl Educational Foundation at a luncheon held to honor the achievements of west central and northwest Wisconsin students and teachers, Sunday, April 11, at Eau Claire North High School.

U. S. Senator Herb Kohl (l) presented Ritzert with the $1,000 Herb Kohl Educational Foundation 2010 Initiative Scholarship.  The scholarship recognizes students who have demonstrated a high level of motivation, have shown strong promise for achieving success in college and beyond and have overcome significant personal obstacles of adversity.
