Adolph Henry and Ernestine Bertha (Gosse) Hake

Adolph Henry and Ernestine Bertha (Gosse) Hake were charter members of the Reformed Peace Congregation, of the German Reformed Church of the United States of America, located in the village of Curtiss in the "1918 History of Clark County, Wisconsin." The church was organized August 1, 1905.

Adolph was the son of Friedrich Conrad Hake and Henriette Louise Elisabeth (Hermeni) Rode. He was born May 13, 1865 in the town of Herman, Sheboygan, County, Wisconsin. January 4, 1891, he married Ernestine Bertha Gosse, who was born August 27, 1870 in the town Mosel, Sheboygan County, Wisconsin.

Their four children were named: Edith (b. May 1912), Walter L. (b. July 19, 1893), Louise (b. December 8, 1900), and Helen (b. December 26, 1898).

Adolph died May 23, 1921 and is buried in the Colby Cemetery in Clark County, Wisconsin. Ernestine died in March of 1978and is buried in Stanwood, Iowa where their daughter Edith was also laid to rest. Their son ,Walter, married Helen B. Kohnhorst in 1921, and died November 5. He is also buried in the Colby Cemetery. Louise married Roland Scheel in 1919. She died May 22, 1972 and is buried in Liberty, Manitowoc County, Wisconsin. Helen married Frank Scheel (the brother of Roland) in December of 1921. She died August 24, 1937 and is buried in Colby, Wisconsin.
