Bio: Donnelly, Thomas (1881)
Contact: Crystal Wendt ----Surnames: Donnelly, Oulett ----History of Northern Wisconsin (Eau Claire County, Wis.) 1881, page 320 THOMAS DONNELLY, Chief of Police, Eau Claire, was born in Pontiac, Lower Canada, March 20, 1837, and went to Minnesota in November, 1865, locating in Minneapolis. In the Summer of 1867 he removed to Stillwater, and in 1872, came to Eau Claire, where he has since resided. He engaged in lumbering, logging and working in the mills, until he was appointed on the police force, in 1875. He has been one of the force since his first appointment, and Chief of Police since the Spring of 1878. He was married in Pontiac County, Lower Canada, July 10, 1858, to Flora Oulett, who was born in Quebec. They have three living children — John C, Mary Louise, and Mary Ann Catherine. They have lost three children — Alfred Edward, William, and an infant son.
