CHARLES L. HADLEY, filer, Wilson shingle-mill, Eau Claire. Came to Wisconsin in 1852 and located in Waupaca County, where he was employed in saw-mill. Came to Eau Claire in 1854, and remained four years. He then returned to Waupaca County, and remained for seven years. Was afterward employed for some years at mills in Eau Claire and at Menomonie. Was then foreman in saw-mill at Fairchilds for seven years, and returned to Eau Claire in Spring of 1881, and engaged in present capacity. He is also in grocery business at Stanley, in company with F. Rabenstorm. He was born in Oswego Co., N. Y., Jan. 30, 1835. Was married in Walworth County, July 17, 1863, to Mary Olverson, who was born in Norway. Have four children — Eugene (employed in store), Sarah, Benjamin and Harriet.
