Conference of Christians and Jews (past Wis. Chm.), distinguished service award 1972. Elected Eau Claire county district attorney 1938, 1940, 1942; county board of supervisors 1945-49 (past chm.); circuit court commissioner 1947-58; county judge 1958-67.
