Commissioned Second Lieutenant – Officer Candidate Luke M. Voeller of Black River Falls graduated from the accelerated Officer Candidate School at Fort McClellan, AL, March 21 (2009) and was commissioned at the Wisconsin Military Academy, Fort McCoy, March 29. (2009). Voeller, a member of Detachment 1, 1158^th Transportation Company, Wisconsin Army National Guard, Black River Falls, attended the course for eight weeks.  Following his return to Wisconsin, he was commissioned a second lieutenant in the Transportation branch.  He has been assigned to 1157^th Transportation Company, Wisconsin Army National Guard Oshkosh.

Voeller is employed at the Target Corporation in Minneapolis as an information technology analyst. He has been a member of the Wisconsin Army National Guard for 11 years.

He is a December 2007 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and a 1999 graduate of Black River Falls High School. His parents are Terry and Sue Voeller of Black River Falls.
