The community was grieved to learn of the death of another of our older people, Mrs. Minnie Barkley, who died Thursday night, January 19, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Moore of Black River Falls. 

Funeral services were conducted at the Methodist Church in Black River Falls Sunday at 3:00 p.m., the Rev. Wayne L Grover officiating.  Interment was in the family lot in Mentor Cemetery.

She leaves three daughters: Mrs. Sarah Hart, and Mrs. Mabel Moore, Black River Falls, and Mrs. Fern Rosalock, Eau Claire; four sons: Edwin of Eau Claire; Melvin, Waupun; George, Black River Falls; and Jim, Milwaukee; also several grandchildren.

Mrs. Lottie Flynn, Mrs. Clarence Collins, Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Hart and Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Sparks were among those, who attended the funeral.
