Ann Sackett, 93, of Neillsville, formerly of Fairchild, died Saturday, April 3, 2010, at the Memorial Health and Rehabilitation Center in Neillsville.

Ann Amy Pozega was born Jan. 18, 1916, at home in Willard, the daughter of Thomas and Anna (Samson) Pozega.  She attended Blackberry Grade School in Willard.  After completing her schooling, she worked on the family farm.  She was united in marriage May 15, 1937, to Charles L. They lived there until 2005 when they moved to the Health and Rehabilitation Center in Neillsville.

In her spare time, Ann loved tending to her vegetable garden and canning.  She also loved reading, picking berries, and she loved being outdoors among nature.  She loved taking walks with her dog and being among the other animals of the wild.

She is survived by two daughters, Carol (Lloyd) Wilkenson of Salem and Evelyn (Michael) Chandler of Alma Center; four grandchildren, Jane, Connie, Debra and Barbra; nine great-grandchildren, Janine, Janelle, Jessica, Ryan, Robert, Rachel, Nathan, Jordan and Jasmin; and one sister, Christine Gertz of Anoka , MN.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, her parents, three brothers and five sisters.
