ATHENS – Annabelle Decker, 75, Athens, died Friday morning at the hospice unit at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Kraemer Funeral Home in Athens followed by liturgy and burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Athens. Concelebrants of the Mass will be the Revs. Stephen Gross and Ralph Geissler.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Athens.

Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home where at 7 p.m. the Parish Council of Catholic Women will recite the rosary and at 7:30 p.m. a parish Bible vigil will be held. Visitation continues from 8 a.m. to service Monday at the funeral home.

She was born June 27, 1915, in the town of Johnson, Marathon County, to Wenzel and Gertrude (Weingand) Zahorka. She married Norbert Decker on June 8, 1939, in Athens. He survives.

She was a rural elementary school teacher and with her husband farmed in the town of Johnson until 1991. They then moved to Athens.

She was a member of the Vanburen Homemakers Club, Milan Community Club and the PCCW of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Athens.
