Albert P. Meyer, 82, EP4359 March Rapids Ave., Stratford, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2005, at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

Al was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, serving during World War II. He farmed in the town of Eau Pleine until retirement in 1987.

Survivors include his wife, Angeline (Gawlikoski), Stratford; five daughters, Debbie (Frank) Gallo, San Diego, Zadra (Dan) Morgan, Houston, Jennifer Meyer of Whidbey Island, Wash., Becky (Steve) Raskie, Wausau, and Tamra Meyer, serving in the U.S. Army National Guard in Iraq; eight grandchildren; six sisters, Ruth Schroepfer, Marshfield, Sister Cathryn Meyer, FSPA of La Crosse, Rita (Maynard) Erdmann, Wautoma, Pat (Jerome) Folz, Wausau, Mary (Jim) Szydl, Neshkoro, and Gertrude Krueger, Lake Tomahawk; and four brothers, Peter Meyer, St. Clair, Mo., Melvin (Dolores) Meyer, Nekoosa, Walter (Harriet) Meyer, Marceline, Mo., and James (Saima) Meyer, Wisconsin Rapids.

Services were held Jan. 24, 2005, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Stratford. Burial was held in St. Joseph's Cemetery in town of Eau Pleine. Military rites were conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 6352 of Stratford.
