Eulalia "Sis" M. Lemanski, 90, of Wausau, formerly of the town of Cassel, died Monday, Nov. 12, 2007, at Marywood Convalescent Center, Wausau.

She was born Aug. 15, 1917, in the town of Halder, daughter of the late John and Margaret (Michaels) Kafka. On Sept. 10, 1935, she married Casmier Lemanski in the town of Cassel. He preceded her in death Oct. 19, 1991.

Eulalia was a homemaker and gardener. Among her many interests, she enjoyed sewing, canning, flowers and pets. She was an excellent cook, famous for her pies and breads. Eulalia's gift for singing will be deeply missed by her family, friends and residents at Marywood Convalescent Center. Throughout her life, she was involved in many church activities and cooked for the hot lunch program at Sacred Heart Catholic School. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family who all have loving memories of her.

Survivors include three daughters, Geraldine (Christie) Bloom and Janice (Donald) Linder, all of Marathon, and Diann (Kim) Helnore, Belvidere, Ill.; five sons, Florian Lemanski, Marathon, Murilen Lemanski, Wausau, Roger (Harriet) Lemanski, Bryon (Karen) Lemanski and James (Peggy) Lemanski, all of Marathon; one daughter-in-law, Jackie Lemanski, Marathon; 29 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Arlene Schefdore, Oconto, and Virginia Vickerman and Junilla Kafka, both of Wausau. Besides her parents and husband, Casmier, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Ann Lemanski; two grandchildren, Cindy Wogernese and Paul Lemanski; two great-grandchildren, Daniel Lemanski and Hailey Zuleger; two brothers, Harold and Gilbert Kafka; and one sister, Verene Christensen.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2007, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, town of Cassel. The Rev. Barnabas Kyea will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. today at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon, and again from 10 a.m. until time of services Friday at the church. There will be a rosary service at 3:15 p.m. today at the funeral home.
