----Stargardt, Loretta R. (17 Jan. 1921 - 16 May 2009)

TWO RIVERS -- Loretta R. Stargardt, 88, a resident of Village Green West, Two Rivers, died Saturday morning, May 16, 2009, surrounded by her loving family.

Loretta was born Jan. 17, 1921, in Spencer, daughter of the late Albert and Minnie (Siebarth) Foss. On Feb. 21, 1941, she was united in marriage to William K. Stargardt in Spencer. He preceded her in death March 27, 1981.

Survivors include seven daughters and three sons-in-law: Lola and Russel DeLong, Two Rivers; Bonnie Blum, Owen; Shirley and Ralph Stark Sr., Withee; Sandra Michur, Stevens Point; Mary Gaffney and John Wogernese, Withee; Patricia Rueth, Spencer; Lynette and Michael Kron, Sioux Falls, S.D.; six sons and four daughters-in-law: Carl Stargardt and Sheila Hinker, Medford; David and Alice Stargardt, Neillsville; James and Sharon Stargardt, Lindsey; Dennis Stargardt and Christina Koznarski, Sioux City, Iowa; Steven and Diane Stargardt, Prairie Farm; Gene and Tracy Stargardt, Two Rivers; 31 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law: Pearl and Harvey Olsen, Abbotsford; and one sister-in-law Erma Kommer, Spencer. She is further survived by her extended family members: Daniel, Tim, Marge, Anna and Marge as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one grandchild, Angel, one great-grandchild, Constance, one son-in-law, Doug Blum Jr., two brothers, LaVern Foss and Victor Foss, and one sister, June Landwher.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at Curtiss Alliance Church, in Curtiss. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Carl Swarr, with burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery, Withee.

The family will greet relatives and friends Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m.

The Pfeffer Funeral Home and All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc is assisting the Stargardt family with arrangements.

She was a farmer's wife, loving mother of the Baker's Dozen, loving grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother who will be sadly missed by all.
