Friday, 2 Feb. 1996 ----Burt, William Wallace (6 Sept. 1910 - 1 Feb. 1996) ATHENS - William Wallace Burt, 85, Athens, died Feb. 1, 1996, at St. Joseph’s Hospital Hospice Care Unit in Marshfield. Memorial services will be at a later date. Kraemer Funeral Home of Athens is handling arrangements. He was born Sept. 6, 1910, in Merrill, and had been a laborer at Marathon Battery. Surviving are his wife, Agnes Burt of Athens; four step-daughters, Karen E. McCarty of Madison, Elaine Wakley of Three Lakes, Jeanne (Dale) Sehr of Castroville, Calif., and Naomi L. Hadek of Iowa City, Iowa; and several step-grandchildren.
