Wilbur F. Eisenhut, 82, Athens died Sunday, September 20, 2009 under the care of

Ministry Home Care Hospice at Wausau Manor.

 

The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. The Very Rev. Charles Hiebl will preside. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Athens. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Peterson-Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens and again on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. There will be a parish vigil service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Athens funeral home.

Wilbur F. "Wiggie" Eisenhut 82, 632 Faith Street, Athens died Sunday, September 20, 2009 under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice at Wausau Manor.

 

He was born February 27, 1927 in the town of Rietbrock, son of the late Maurice and

Bertha (Degenhardt) Eisenhut.

 

On October 12, 1963 he married Eldora Kottke at St. Mary Catholic Church, Wausau. She preceded him in death on January 10, 2005.

 

Wiggie was a dairy farmer in the town of Rietbrock. He was also a custodian at the

Athens public school and drove plow truck for the town of Rietbrock.

 

Survivors include five children, Deborah (Timothy) Fleming, Edgar, Michelle (Daryl)

Paul, Edgar, Jennifer (Bugger) Switlick, Marathon, Christine (Craig) Paul, Dorchester

and Charles Eisenhut, Athens; nine grandchildren, Michael and Matthew Fleming,

Andrew Paul, Cassandra and Nadine Switlick, Breanna, Lauren, Tristan and Amanda

Paul and one sister, Mildred Hart, Athens.

 

Besides his parents and wife Wiggie was preceded in death by one brother Joseph

Eisenhut and one sister Viola Corriere.
