(23 Mar. 1911 – 16 Feb. 2005) ATHENS – Erna M. Diedrich, 93, Athens, died Feb. 16, 2005, at Colonial Center in Colby. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, 2005, at Christ United Church in Athens. Burial will be in the Athens Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services Saturday at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home in Athens is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences at petersonkramer.com She was born March 23, 1911, in the town of Halsey to John and Elsie (Degner) Nehrbass. On Oct. 23, 1936, she marriede Alfred "Ollie" Diedrich in Athens. He preceded her in death on Aug. 28, 1995. Erna and Ollie farmed in the town of Rietbrock until they moved to Athens, she then worked at the Hartman Variety Store until the time of her retirement. Survivors include three sons, David (Phyllis) Diedrich, Athens, James (Kitty) Diedrich, Edgar, and William “Bill” Diedrich, Kansas City, Mo.; four grandchildren….
