Mary E. Neder, 65, Waukesha, died Friday, Aug. 29 at Muskego Health Care Center.
A funeral mass was held Wednesday, Sept. 3 at St. William Catholic Church in Waukesha. Private entombment took place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Waukesha.
The former Mary Gier was born March 14, 1943 in Milwaukee to the late Johan and Cecilia (Peters) Gier.
On August 3, 1963 she married David Neder, of Medford, who survives. She worked at the Boston Store in children's clothing.
She was a member of St. William Catholic Church and Christian Mothers, and was active with Brownie and Girl Scout troops.
In addition to her husband, survivors include her children, Karen Neder of Madison, Ann (Philip) Schmidt of Marshall, Patricia Neder of Atlanta, Ga., Josephine (Andy) Korchmaros of Tucson, Ariz., Martha (Keith) Miller of San Luis Obispo, Calif., Edward Neder of Waukesha and Matthew (Patty) Neder of Watertown; brothers, Karl Gier of Waukesha, Rita (Jim) Good of Euclid, Ohio, Fred Gier of Eagle and John (Margie) Gier of Dousman; mother-in-law and godmother, Cathrine (Neder) Brown of Croften, Md.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ron Neder of Modesto, Calif., Chuck Neder of San Jose, Calif., Mary (Lindsey) Ervin of Davidsonville, Md., and Paul (Karen) Neder of Rock Island, Ill.; seven grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Christopher.
Memorials in her name may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association of Milwaukee.
Cesarz, Charapata and Zinnecker Funeral Home of Waukesha assisted the family with arrangements.
