----Hollman, James (May 20, 1940 - August 9, 2008)
James Hollman, 68, Abbotsford, died Saturday, Aug. 9 at the emergency department of St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Abbotsford, with Father Benjamin Franklin officiating. Burial was at Abbotsford Public Cemetery with military rites conducted. Pallbearers were Tyler Oleson, Rick Sperl, Jeff Ludwig, Mike Anderson, Jamie Feind and Mark "Soj" Struensee.
James Hollman was born May 20, 1940 in Dorchester to Frank and Helen (Riegert) Hollman. He attended parochial school at St. Louis Catholic Grade School and Dorchester High School. He served in the United States Army for two years until his honorable discharge.
On November 25, 1961 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Owen, he married MaryAnn Pabich, who survives. He worked at Packaging Corporation of America in Colby for 37 years until his retirement.
"Jungle" Jim enjoyed deer and turkey hunting with his son. He had a love for tractors in all shapes and sizes. He liked listening to polkas and especially took pleasure in going up north to the Willow Flowage with his wife to spend time with family and friends. He righteously understood the true meaning of family.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 46 years, MaryAnn of Abbotsford; a son, Craig Hollman of Withee; a daughter, Deb (Tim) Brahmer of Medford; his siblings, Roberta Ludwig of Medford, Mary Jane (Glen) Ludwig of Marshfield, Judy Rahn of Milwaukee, Sondra (Ron) Wishardt of Virginia and Dennis Hollman of Greenwood; his grandchildren; Tyler Oleson of Madison and Shawna Oleson of Medford; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a son, Mitchell in 1990.
Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home of Abbotsford assisted the family with arrangements.
